Re: Settings for gps in Australia

let your GPSr sit outside while turned on with a good view of the sky...you've moved thousands of ks since you last used it so it needs to get a good location fix...

and you DON'T need to change settings when travelling overseas...

Re: New Program - GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

there's three macros for downloading GCA caches...you could wrap one of those with a macro that downloads GC caches...you'd be better off posting your request in the GSAK forum...

Re: Garmin Oregon 650

it's the suction cup mount with the slide in clip...it was part of the navigation kit...you can get them cheaper on eBay of course...

FWIW, I use a RAM mount on my bike...

both work well and I've had no issues...

Re: Garmin Oregon 650

I just use the Garmin one I had for my Oregon 300 as it fits the same...

oh, just realised you want to hold the GPSr AND a phone....so my resposne is superfluous!

Garmin Oregon 650

Mine got delivered today and, without having used it for caching yet, I'm very impressed! (Obviously doesn't take much).

Fits nicely in the hand and the touch screen is as responsive as my iPhone.

Looking forward to putting it through its paces!
