Re: This may launch a cat among the pigeons

The act of locking that particular archived virtual was nothing to do with the cache owner. It still could have been logged up until the moment it was locked - even if archived. No apology from you is necessary, Hoojar. You earned boasting rights. I applaud your find upon said Virtual =D> I would ha...

Re: This may launch a cat among the pigeons

Good point, Goldenwattle. Actually the first cache I quoted above IS still checked by the cache owner and they reply back. But you are right - in the majority of cases, the Owner may not be active any more. However, I don't know about you... but I have found my share of active virtuals and received ...

This may launch a cat among the pigeons

I am a big fan of finding archived caches. Trawling cache pages, piecing together what happened many years ago. Working together with your mates - and the joy of actually finding something that has been forgotten for a long time. Quite a few people enjoy doing it (Well in the Brisbane area anyway) I...

PQs do not return any caches?

I have tried to run PQs using GCA but it only returns "Success: Your query has been created successfully". And not much else.

I have tried active and archived caches. Have I missed something along the line? Thanks in advance.

Re: Unloved - What is your total?

Crew 153 (QLD all-round nice guy) has some excellent Bookmark lists of caches still in position or that are archived http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid ... 001cef9403

You can also search for archived caches using GCA Pocket Queries.

Re: Unloved - What is your total?

I found this to be an interesting thread - finding unloved caches is a hobby of mine and a few others up in QLD - archived or not. You can find my caches in my profile at http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=a560d334-5051-4c89-846c-36fbf2172bb2 under "Lost Caches". It's good to see others into it...

Re: Stats Removal from GCA?

Thanks for the reply C@W :)

Would changing my GC username in my GCA settings "break" the link? So that future stats don't come accross?

I know its not ideal - but was just a thought.

Stats Removal from GCA?

Is there a way my stats can be removed from GCA (ie so people cannot compare themselves to me?). Preferably without having to leave GCA? Thanking you in advance.

Re: Cache Stats Explanation

It's simple. The Dashboard is for caches in Queensland. The Cacher Graph is for cachers who reside in Queensland. Team Robins are Queenslanders who find caches outside Queensland, so their stats aren't on the Queensland dashboard as the caches they find are not in that state. Different things. Many...

Cache Stats Explanation

Of course caching is not about the numbers 8-[ - but a friend of mine has just pointed out an interesting thing to me. Maybe someone can explain it. Please bear with me - it is a tadly complicated. On the QLD page, I am currently listed on for "2011" as at the top (not for long the way people are mo...
