Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

Thankyou to everyone who expressed support last week when I posted about my deleted logs. I have received an email from Groundspeak this morning saying that my logs will be restored within the week: "we have asked the cache owner to restore the logs as they do not violate the Terms of Use". I though...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

In regards to the question about finding recourse with a reviewer, I doubt it. The cache owner in question first contacted Groundspeak and sought permission to delete the logs for the R, U and S caches. Groundspeak granted this permission without ever contacting me at all. This is from the email I r...

Later in the year I did an old multi in Parramatta which, when GZ was calculated, took me to within a hundred metres of my own cache in the mountains. Naturally I had had no idea this mult...

Re: The discrepancy between the log entries and the finds online

I have two examples to give, both of which came back to "it's just a game" philosophy. A cache I have near Nepean River was logged twice by someone. Both logs were short and ambiguous. That is, they could have been either DNFs or found logs. Who could tell? When I checked the log book I could accoun...

Re: Cycling Observations

Hi, this is the first time I've written anything for this forum, but the subject of weird things and cycling struck a chord. Riding along the M4 in Sydney can be surprising. It looks fairly boring from the car, but I've spotted all sorts of things from kids toys, life jackets, furniture etc. The wei...
