Re: Alternative Co-ordinates
Alternative co-ordinates would be visible only to the geocacher who created them, unless the geocache owner also had a set of public alternative co-ordinates. So you would like the workflow to be: ORIGINAL until you provide ALTERNATIVES; then ALTERNATIVE until you have FOUND them; then ORIGINAL aft...

Let me guess.
You have been to Bathurst?

Re: Is there a point to puzzle caches?
Solving the puzzle is the thing - finding the cache is then just the icing on the cake. Sometimes I leave solved puzzles for ages before looking for them. If I hadn't solved the puzzle (or at least helped in a group to some extent) I wouldn't quite feel right finding the cache. I do have a seemingl...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
When I logged a cache on GCA I used to get a list of ten nearby unfound GCA caches. This has now disappeared. Why? I like it for logging multiple caches in an area with a new search.

Re: National Engineering Landmarks / Historic Engineering Marks
But the CORS are owned by the community and we can archive them once we visit the site and confirm they are there or not. The community can also place a Needs Archiving log on ones that are not there if they know this information. I don't see any issue. Like this http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga76...

Re: National Engineering Landmarks / Historic Engineering Marks
I've added dozens of CORS without first visiting to see if they're actually there. I've added trigs using a particular database but didn't visit them initially either. There is no compulsion for anyone to look for a cache. You make that decision. Rather than putting these virtuals on your Ignore Li...

Re: National Engineering Landmarks / Historic Engineering Marks
I have attempted 10 of these with 5 being successful. I have wasted many hours driving to and searching for the other five, that are I'm fairly confident aren't there. What are the owner's plans for the ones that I and/or other people have DNFd? Is the owner planning to go and check on these? Or is ...
