Re: How many people still visit the forums
There you go :) I made a text out of it: Geocaching Stickyness Do people stick to the game? An analysis* by Geocaching Australia: Have you ever wondered what are the chances that you will see that cacher again you just stumbled upon? While the number of people who heard about or even tried geocachin...

Re: How many people still visit the forums
The German forum geoclub.de died down almost completely. It's all on facebook these days and it's much more regionalised than here in Australia. But then again the population density is slightly different. I wouldn't mind if more cacher can be channeled from fb over here. Searching stuff on facebook...

Re: Two Swedish cachers in a car from Adelaide to Brisbane
I did a road-trip from Adelaide to Cairns in 5 weeks in 2009 so here are a couple of thoughts for the Adelaide to Sydney leg: Buy a sim from Aldi - cheap and they use the Telstra network Set-up Event caches in the cities you go through yourself Check if your rental car allows a trip to Kangaroo Isla...

I killed my Montana as well - send in a 600 got back a 650t Make sure to keep the battery so you end up with two and not one old one. Also check out this case: I got it and I hope it prevents it from cracking again: http://www.gizzmovest.com/CRStage.cfm?Page=View%20Article&CAT=Garmin%20Montana%20Cas...

Thanks everyone for all the ideas - I probably stop by at the event in Clare and I bought a compressor - two things I haven't even considered. Start will be tomorrow morning
I'll turn on my SPOT which you can track via http://track.fuzzel.de

The Uluru Project
My employer gave me 4 weeks off today - a bit on short notice but it must have something to do with me changing jobs. Anyway - I've never been to the red centre so this is where I'm going. Start will be Saturday morning. Route is something like this: http://goo.gl/maps/dZsm Car is a T31 Xtrail and I...

Re: Power Trails: an (ammo) can of worms
Just found a similar thingy in the German forums: What do you think of Power trails? I can not get enough of it, normal caches hardly interest me. 2% [4] I would attend at any time. 19% [49] I would probably pass me one. 30% [75] I would never attend one, will make the other 10% [25] Power trails ha...

Re: Find unloved caches in own finds?
I don't have GSAK  so it's definitely not up to date. I already tried the manual approach but there are the odd ones where you don't expect them to be an "unloved find" e.g. http://coord.info/GCRZAY (Multi starting in the CBD), hasn't been found for 972 days - just because it got archived in ...

Find unloved caches in own finds?
Does anyone have an idea how I could find "unloved caches" in my finds? Like caches which were unfound 6 or more months prior to my find. I'm looking for something like. Cache - Date of my find - Date of the last find before my find It's somehow connected to this one: http://geocaching.com.au/cache/...
