A new development overnight, was posted by MissJenn (admin at GS) http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=261919&st=150# Groundspeak will make it easier to have these new devices as part of the growing repertoire of ways to find a cache. Here is the current plan: 1) A new attribute for ...

Re: Nightcaching headlamps

This anaconda one has a hinged light :) I agree with you there, the one I used Monday was fixed and it really started to annoy me about half way around the park.

Re: Nightcaching headlamps

Back from anaconda, there was a delightful native in the store going feral at the registers, even the threats of calling the police on him still didn't stop him  Anyway I grabbed one, it takes 3xAAA and whilst the packet says batteries included on the back, there is none in there. I also chec...

Re: Nightcaching headlamps

We had some trouble with a stage of a nightcache on Monday night, the headlamps were not reaching far enough to find our marker and it wasn't until I pulled out the torch after a call had been made to Philipp that we spotted what we were looking for the moment the torch was turned on. So brighter he...

Re: How to 'load' many caches on my Garmin 450

on my 62s I drag and drop the GPX (pocket query) file into the folder \garmin\GPX\ Yes, spot on for the oregon and you can do it with the GPX files straight from GC.com rather than run it through GSAK too. If you don't already have a premium membership to take advantage of the pocket queries you wi...

Nokia N97 also gives an alert that Geolocation is not supported.
It then stops loading and goes to a blank white screen.

Re: Recovering a lost GPSr

Great news on finding it again Kenny!! =D> I tried Philipp's background link yesterday, all works ok on the computer however on loading it up on the oregon it is just a plain background with no font visible, it must fall just outside the viewable area. Gives me an idea to play around in PS CS5 with ...

Re: Recovering a lost GPSr

Not much help to the OP as their unit is already lost, hope it returns to you somehow.
I have added personal contact details to the start up screen whilst the unit is loading up, found the details in the wiki.
That background link looks good too, cheers Philipp :)
