It seems the HawMorFords are not alone. We generally don't make swaps unless the kids are with us - it keeps them interested and they generally enjoy it. In lieu of the 'geocaching box' being full of swaps these days, it is full of cache maintenance stuff. Items such as, Magnets, Gaffer's tape, liqu...

Grrrr

I downloaded the new firmware and initially had trouble with the 'finding Magellan Explorist' screen on my Vista PC despite it working fine to transfer files otherwise. I then tried the laptop with XP and it worked straight away... another Vista anomaly. I didn't read the release notes and was there...

For a webcam cache you should have to have a photo taken with the webcam & published with the log... it is *not* enough to take a photo with your own camera at the site! There are always exceptions and of course it is up to the owner and not the finder if these exceptions are acceptable. When in Ad...

To those of you who have offered your sincere congratulations, THANK YOU! To the rest, after having a fantastic and truly memorable day in the beautiful city of Melbourne, it was very disappointing indeed to arrive home to find we have been accused of cheating. However we are determined not to let t...

Our Eclipse - Bougainvillea (GCRF26) cache was placed in a very nice cypress tree.

Fortunately, a cacher that had my number visited the cache shortly after the tree was cut down.... There was a log entry saying "Sorry Folks, Had to cut your tree down!"

The HawMorFords use a Magellan Explorist 600 with Aust. Topo maps on the SD Card. The Magellan is a very robust unit and hasn't given me too much trouble... it doesn't communicate to the PC anymore so it needs a trip to the west to get fixed up. Apart from that it is terrific - esp. since the softwa...

G'day Folks

This question has probably been asked before but i couldn't find it ..... What is the likelyhood of GSAK being available for Pocket PC ? Perhaps even a watered down version if required ?

Thanks
