Ah !! I found the problemo .... I was trying to cram too many waypoints into my GPS
Seems I didn't delete the old waypoints before sending the updated list !!
I downloaded the SA file again and all is well
Is anyone else finding that some GCA caches and trigpoint listings are missing from their downloads of South Australian zip files ? I have missed several finds and also wasted me time posting trig point listings, only to find that when I search for nearby GCA caches, I find that the trigpoint listi...
Yes !! Yess !! and Yessss!! :P They are popularising, or as the Americans say, popularizing geocaching to hoardes of idiots who have never stepped foot outside of their comfort zone and think that this must be a good idea  Get a personal trainer people, or an exercise bike and leave them under ...
Well I personally thought that arriving by geomobile might be sensible, as it carries all my camping supplies. But then again, a unicycle might be employed if I have the time to build one and learn to ride it =D> Or maybe I could just ride my bicycle in after finding "all" of the Wandering Heroes ca...
The frightening fact about the guy who got arrested over here is that he only found the cache, and then was cautioned. This remains as a police record for live and he has been told that it will probably affect his future career Yeah!! He'll probably end up hosting a very well rating cable TV show \...

Here's the gallery :D Bright Spark the Gnome http://geocaching.com.au/gallery/images/ga2848/1263057504.jpg Bright Spark the Gnome in company with Geo-Gnome and Icognitgnome http://geocaching.com.au/gallery/images/ga2848/5723050673.jpg Ge-Trifle Gnome http://geocac...
The panel of judges obviously don't get out much :P Not one mention of "Geocache Your Way Around Australia" :( And where are "Paddle a kayak down the Murray", "Ride a pushbike between two capital cities" ? Too hard for our celebs I suppose :( The "Tick off all the Luxury Lodges of Australia" listing...
Trig points are a nuisance :x Several time now I have been happily wandering from one geocache to another when somewhere, just on the edge of the GPS screen, a trig point symbol will briefly appear. Suddenly all thought of finding the next Eclipse tin hidden in a guard rail on the side of a busy mai...
I use the 'averaging' function on my GPS. Place the GPS on top of the newly hidden cache and leave it for half an hour while you have lunch, nip off to the pub across the road, pick the leeches out of your socks or wait for the thunderstorm to pass over. The resultant coords should be accurate to wi...
Hows about 650kms each way on a 4 day expedition specifically to find The Torture Test(CCC No. 2)
And still not get a FTF
At least it is still unclaimed, so I might have another go at it sometime
I did pick up a few consolation caches along the way though
Naw!! Geocaching is alive and well :) :D Caching styles have changed though. There is a lot less interest in the more challenging caches (such as multis and unknowns) and a lot more emphasis on simple traditionals. Fortunately there is still a goodly number of cachers who go the extra mile to keep ...
