Re: Library Geocaching
I am hoping to get to this event but not the odds are not in my favour at the moment. I was thinking of this thread when I read the event description. I am pretty sure we have done a cache that required us to visit a book in its collection too... take a look at the event GC4TBYB "A Sizzling Meet and...

Re: Groundspeak "listing-service exclusivity on Mega-Events"
My 1.5c GCA, is an important part of the way I play the game - We load GCA caches along side GC based caches etc.... In my 5sec of fame at Wagga when we won a 6th prize and was handed the microphone on stage, our thanks included GCA for the effort that goes into it. We really enjoyed the gnomes etc....

Re: Oregon 450t - loading GPX files
I've had an Oregon 300 for nearly two years now and this is my biggest bugbear with it. I usually have to load the PQ GPX file at least twice before it 'takes'. I learnt the hard way too but since that time, I try and make sure I check to see if the caches are 'visible' before leaving home. The biz...

Re: How do you do ....... (GSAK)
We have 4 1) Default - All caches via PQs (Trads close to home unfound, Other unfound, found, GCA unfound) 2) Hides / Our own POIs (not caches) (home, mum/dads place, etc...) 3) GCA Moving 4) Temp (trips away) I download to my Oregon300 and also to Nuvi from different filters - the filters exclude c...

Re: Can CO log his/her own movable?
If they were to come back "into our range" I too would include our movable as a cache worth finding and moving.
We visited and "noted" but didn't find or move our gnome during the race to do some maintenance.
Cheers

Re: GeGnome Project - Photos and fun
We had "GeGnome 10 Gnero" Agent GA2713 come caching with us today - he is written up as being part of a covert Gnome Security unit - well he ran into a little trouble today near GC2KFTJ

Re: movable cache location
What I am doing now is when I run my moveable query I am downloading it to its own GSAK database then using a filter I only include published 1/12/10. I am now playing with different filters to get the right result

Re: Gnome Rules Question
Yeah I understood the intent, and I am accepting the ruling I am just lucky that I got in early with my find log. The cache itself only moved centermeters at the event itself. So technically there has only been one move since I signed the log. As it happens I missed the boat; I was TOLD "only a shor...

Gnome Rules Question
Hi I have a rules question Like others, I 'found' a gnome (GA2819) at a recent event, it has now moved within distance for me to try grab him but...... with regards to the rule <quote>•There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two ot...

Re: movable cache location
We've been through this before, a number of times. There is NO way to tell if a cache is in the hands of someone or in the field. The ONLY way is to read the logs. A found with no-cords is likely in someone's hands. A found with co-ords is likely in the field. A moved is likely in the field. Any ti...

Re: movable cache location
We too have talked about this amongst ourselves. My other issue is I cant create a query to give me "moveable caches near me that I either haven't found" and "moveables near me that I have found and at least two other cachers have found that cache after I have found it last..." I like the idea of a ...
