Re: TrigPointing
Regarding historical info in Queensland, here’s a map of a Trigonometrical Survey of Moreton Bay from 1840.. https://gisservices.information.qld.gov.au/arcgis/rest/directories/historicalscans/cad_scans/cad-map-trig-surv-moreton-bay-1841.jpg That’s the oldest Queensland Trig Survey map I know off. Re: A short animated video explaining what a Webcam cache is all about
It’s nice to have the option to find this cache type. The GC ones are dying fast. Nearly half of the GC webcam caches I’ve found have since been archived. Ireland recently lost its last one.

Re: U.S. Survey Bench Mark in Tasmania
Even though it’s unlikely I’ll get to Hawaii, I have a to-do list for it. Haleakala summit and TP6161 have been added, thanks for sharing that
I didn’t know there were GCA caches outside of Australia and New Zealand!

U.S. Survey Bench Mark in Tasmania
I found a U.S. Geological Survey Bench Mark in Tasmania sitting next to TrigPoint cache TP6603. https://geocaching.com.au/gallery/images/ga7497/thumbs/tn_45526282724.jpeg So I was wrapping up a solid week of adventuring in Tasmania and it was time to head to Launceston airport. To get there I drove ...

Re: WherIGo as an Augmented Realty cache option
I’m finally preparing to create a wherigo cache. I reached out to geo-friends for advice and every reply was to use this platform.. https://kit.wherigofoundation.com I have waypoints I want to use but I need to find a GZ and weave a story before I start the process. I’ll provide feedback once done. ...

Re: Report Site Issues Here
Hello, Regarding the Cache Type page in the wiki. The Augmented Reality summary lists the Geocacher type. http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Cache_type I have lots of ideas for hides using many of the different cache types. Next year at this stage though. Is this thread the best way to flag any wiki...

Re: NFC Caches
Lots of interesting ways to use these tags. I did an NFC cache a few years ago in a Malaysian underground car park (how’s that for random!). It was a multi-cache and used the tags as waypoints. This particular setup didn’t require an internet connection or website, it relayed information via an app ...
