Re: Contacting CO's

Not everyone has email on their phone I reckon is the most likely answer to not receiving an instant reply to an in-the-field query. I certainly wouldn't rely on it. Better off contacting a previoys finder whose number you already have. Many interstaters contact me prior to coming to SA as they will...

Re: Geocaching Business Card

Recently we came across a cache that had a "What is Geocaching" type business card inside. We think it would be useful to have a few to help explain our obsession to muggles. Can't remember the actual wording on the card though. Anyone know of them? And where can we get hold of some? As opposed to ...

SA has them on special as well. Bought 2x 6 packs for $7.49 which makes it even cheaper to buy than individually!

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

Just weighing into the debate... I generally take a 'tftc' and similiar entries to mean they didnt enjoy the cache, it was boring, etc. That is their opinion, no need to get cut up about it, since that is generally similiar to what I put in a log if it is a boring 'under a bush on roadside' or 'anot...

Re: Someone - please look after my SA caches

Having moved to Queensland 2 years ago and with no short term plans of return, I need someone to take responsibility for my caches as they are slowly but surely becoming defunct. Unfortunately I am also caching less due to other more equine interests. Please email me if you are willing to look afte...

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?

We may not have cached on Christmas Day, but MR H managed an FTF on 'Tupperware Tribute Cache' on his way between home and his Mum & Dad's place to get scrubbed up for the BIG day!

Re: Scouting Cachers

I will be there, as a day worker for 5 days! Will be cache blitzing the area for the rest of the days, while the geokid#1 is at the camp! I'd love to attend an interstate event. It's not too hard to organise. Have it as a BYO in a park nearby, and be mindful not to limit who can attend either(ie ope...

Re: Are Nanos real caches?

We pretty much agree with Freddo, and most of the previous posts. In the right spot it adds to the experience, but by and large, making the cache a multi with an offset gz (to take away from the actual place being visited) is much more practical, and fun for the kids. The people have spoken. Cachers...

Re: 'Inappropriate' cache locations?

I absolutley do take on what others are saying and I also find it amusing that the most intence responces are coming from the direction of the most negative people. (or rather, the most reliably negative loggers) I apologise greatly if you think I am being a jerk for accusing the higher posters as ...

Re:

Ok, there are ALWAYS going to be Playground Cache arguements and I understand the problem with them for people like my Dad and other bachelors. That is why I Label mine specifically that they are indeed a playground cache. What I don't agree with however is the abuse I have recieved from 2 such cac...

Having used many ourselves, and found many also... We can say with some sort of experience..... DON'T USE folded up paper as the log, no matter how tempting!<br> You can get cheap notebooks from the supermarket or $2 shop that can be cut down easily to fit, then you get 3-4 out of each notebook too!...
