Re: Philosophy for cachers
is it still the same cache? Should you be allowed to find and log it again? I think that's two separate questions. Is is still the same cache or not, I think depends on the nature of the cache. If a particular cache is more about going to the place, and the hide itself isn't what that cache has goi...

Go to : http://www.google.com.au/ On the last set of links, there should be one that says Go to Google.com Click it and it's stops the redirection. I'm pretty sure that gives you, well... lets call it 'generic' google. It's the same url, but not the same content, as you'd get if you were searching ...

Re: Geocaching, google it.
GCA is at the top only because you are using www.google.com .au [/b] I reckon you're right... can't seem to go to google.com to confirm, it keeps redirecting me to google.com.au  I don't know how you get to the America centric version of google (I suspect you probably can't) from here, but d...

The second way is to regularly set all caches to archived. Then reload new PQs over the top and those that are still active will become active again, those that are archived will stay that way. Is there any where in GSAK that knows the PQ that a cache was loaded from? It'd be handy to only set to '...

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't matter whether I export the HTML from GSAK or Spinner, I still come up against the GC.com throttle. I can't find an option in Plucker to slow it down. I couldn't find one in iSilo either. This is annoying!! It sounds like you need to uncheck 'follow off site links...

Re: Newbie - Going to buy GPS but confused?? Which one?
But trying to research which one has left me confused. Could you give me some ideas about which one to buy please? It all depends on how much you want to spend. Many have found thousands of caches with the base level Yellow Garmin eTrex and you can pick them up for around $200. Others will advise y...

I think if I went looking for a cache there are only really two possible outcomes, I found it or I didn't. I guess the only tricky bit is when to concider the looking to have started... Hopefully the cachers that follow might find my comments informative, or at the very least the cacher owner find m...

Has anyone got it currently set up where a perl script (or similar) gets forwarded the e-mail, and parses it out to an sms gateway with the name, distance, and co-ords of the cache? Well.. now... :) $ cat /tmp/tick This is an automated message from Geocaching For GC163VW: Camp Granada 2007 (Traditi...
