Re: Contact info inside caches
I place my phone number on the back of the log book and also the stash note on the caches I place. I had a phone call a couple of months ago from a council worker who had found my cache box when they were ripping out all the shrubs and trees to redevelop the area that my cache was in. The whole area...

It's malformed and so the rest of the text is chucked as the system has no idea what to do with it.
I will re-edit the log entry and remove the offending bits

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I just did a log for a locationless cache and when I looked at the page the log entry had truncated. GA1698 When I looked at where it cut off the rest of the log I noticed it was at a " quote. The rest of the log has gone. Now I know I can fix the log (typing it a second time round is never the sam...

Re: Newbie Thread: Help! How do I get waypoints onto my etrex h?

Re: Geosphere
I have to say that I consider it to be both. I am in the country and rarely (almost never) have 3G coverage and the iPhone is very poor in updating and getting GPS co-ords. Often times out. Also since upgrading to v4.0 and the groundspeak app I feel it has gone backwards. I regret doing this now. Al...

Re: Is there any way?
A couple of interesting points to note- 3 of the trackables still in the Oz Mega inventory are basically personal trackables. That should be easy to fix- email the owners and ask them to remove them from the inventory, Before the recent changes to trackables in your possession I always left my own ...

Re: Decent swaps
I browse my local newsagent often, especially when there is 'back to school' stuff. Am often able to get nice looking pens etc. cheaply. The other place I go is The Reject Shop in the party favours section. Often can get cars and balls etc. for under $5 a pack where there are several items in the pa...

Wow! I never realised it was so big. Seeing in context to my home (and I live on waterfront) was sobering.

Re: Dual Cache Listing on GCA and GC.
(How many Anniversary GCA caches are going to be re-listed on the international site, I wonder? There's at least one so far, who took the pathtag bribe and then, disappointed at the slow FTF and infrequent finds, re-listed it on geocaching.com.) Not mine. :) They run foul of the proximity rule even...

Re: Happy Anniversary - The Offical Congratulations Thread
Congratulations to all of us and especially the GCA developers. I am often amazed at the complexity found on the website and enjoy the friendliness in the forum. I have a friend in Europe who is jealous of what I say about the Australian geocaching site and community. He says he wished there was suc...
