Re: Where are we all from??? (introduce yourself) parts 1&2

Gee I can feel all the memories rushing back. Printing pages and pages of paper, getting to a cache and finding I'm missing the page which had the hint. Then the upgrade to a PDA which also helped remembering to log all the days finds. Then the Tom Tom in the car with the pre loaded cache GPX files ...

Re: Known Elevation points

Thanks Geo_jas your post got me thinking and a message to a mate (who's dad has something to do with surveying) I asked him to check with his dad if he knew where any AHD markers were in the local area. Next thing i get an email with pictures and diagrams showing the end of my street. Showing a stat...

Known Elevation points

Hi Guys Girls and Kids, Been a long time since I've been on here or found a cache actually, been years. A few of the originals will remember my name or or newbies may have found a couple of my remaining caches. Anyhow to the point I've been searching and searching the internet trying to find this in...

It may seem a little off topic but do not fear it is related to a cache i'm currently researching but would anyone out there either have or know where i could find pictures of the panorama which appeared on the 5 pound note between 1913-1931? anyone? :?

I think the fact that so far only 45-50 people (out of about 1000 possibly active) have put their hand up to donate, that kind of proves my theory in my last post so far. Correct word to use - Theory : a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established ...

I voted "No. Informal donations only" but that's just because I'm uncertain as to what a GCA Association may do to GCA and caching in Australia in the long term, otherwise I'd lean towards "An association to purely run the website with no other purpose" providing GCA features remained the same to al...

I have 285 GC finds and about 14 GCA finds but the stats in GCA only say 286 finds.

Is there any way that I can update the finds in GCA?

Thanks

Someone else would be able to explain this better but I'll give it a go. I may be wrong but i think cache updates brought over to this site only contain the last 5 logs? so if between the time you found the cache and the time the logs are updated on GCA you are more than 5 logs down on the cache lis...

I agree with nearly everything that GIN51E has said except for the acknowledgement of a donation. That could start a 'Well I gave a donation and you didn't so I have more say than you' or something similar. I know some people will say no we aren't like that but it happens and consider how some rema...
