Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Am I being a complete noob, or is there a special way to show GC caches also on the maps from the GCA home page? I have tried clicking on a state, doing a postcode search and anything else I can think, but the only caches that show on the map are GCA. All the FAQ says that both are available, but I ...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

I would like to see some other innovative way (other than photo or Q&A) for a cache that does not have a container. TrigPoints and Virtuals require a photo. History caches require Q&A. If we were to do an enviro-cache, then we would need a new method of proof to go with the cache. If we just use th...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

For many, a photo from a specific location could indeed suffice as proof - particularly if part of the challenge is to find the location and correct direction or subject. Possible arrangement - start point, get hints for Q&A to learn to identify a plant or something of environmental value, find the ...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

This park in particular has lots of information on specific native plant species, so users could get hints or an id key to then have to find particular species - then learn about that plant and the value and why it is there while chasing the location. Many groups would just like to make more people ...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

Great idea -Example. Westgate Park in Melbourne - long term project in major metropolitan, significant works by volunteers over 30 years http://www.westgatepark.org/ One key location is the Salt water lake https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Salt+Water+Lake/@-37.8316797,144.9084423,17z/ This someti...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

Thanks - I was thinking of some other sites that are on private property, but adjoining or visible from roads or key locations - so can get or walk to see enough to identify landmarks or info for q & a, which would provide more potential sites again on top of the public land sites. There are lots of...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

Newby here, so tell me if I am completely off track or missing prior info, but would like to know if this is a possibility. I work with a number of community groups which are involved in managing a range of public land sites for ongoing improvement - often dealing with weeds, planting, walking track...
