Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

Although there is a lot of Gnew Gnomers this year, would it be fair to say that overall there's not as many as past years? We have 4 gnomes in the race and so far the stats are Gnome 1 - 3 moves and stuck since 6 Dec GA5882 Gnome 2 - 6 moves and stuck since 12 Dec GA5751 Gnome 3 - 7 moves and stuck ...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

No. Gnomes come in all shapes and sizes. The smaller the gnome the greater the likelihood of it going missing in a bush or the back seat of someones car though. Re: an 'invisible' garmin....

Hi Happy Chappies, we had a similar problem with our Oregon 450 last year and googled it and ended up doing a hard reset twice before it worked. We found a you tube vidseo telling us exactly what to do lolol. So maybe try that again as it took doing it twice before it worked! However we then had a s...

Re: Clean-Up Australia Day casualties?

When we asked the Blackburn Lake Advisory Committee for permission to place a cache there back in 2009, the guy we emailed said that he thought there was a container hanging around the Visitors Centre that had been found during a previous ("some years ago") Clean Up Australia Day. Email as follows "...

Re: Early idea for 2013/2014 race

Based on what happened in the 2012/2013 game ... could there be a point loss penalty to a team that doesn't rehide a moveable within 2 or 3 or 4 days (or whatever you deem reasonable) to prevent a team from hanging onto a moveable for ages stopping other teams from logging a find on that moveable ....

Re: Your geocaching goals 2013

Wow to both of you!! =D> =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ Living in suburban Melbourne means that most caches don't get anywhere near the 6 months unloved so we have to go searching much further afield now if we want to add onto our total :-) All of my big ones (2 years+) have been remote bush caches. 4. Continue to tackle the unloved challenge (we were at 3710 days last time I checked so a bit of a way to go!) What is that? Getting enough "unloved" caches - ie caches that havent been found for at least the previous 6 months to qualify to find/log this cache ... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ca...
