Re: TrigPointing

Removing the benchmarks from the files leaves 4,807 Trig Stations. :?

Not as many as I thought there'd be. Besides, none of them are named anyway. Every one of them is called simply "trig_station".

I wouldn't know, that is just what I'm seeing when I load them up in Ozi.

Re: TrigPointing

Great work on adding a trig station category! =D> I have four *.wpt files that cover 10,940 trig stations and benchmarks throughout Australia if that's any use to the site. Total file size is only 971Kb. I can already see these files cover a lot of trig stations on the Yorke Peninsula that aren't on...

I was a member of the SLgeocaching.com group for a while when I first started out in Second Life. To be honest, I found it quite uninteresting...it just served as a way to bring people to certain areas on the grid that were either well built, or as a way to increase avatar traffic/boost sales. It wa...

Sorry to bring this up after 6 months...but it's the first I've seen of the hatred that I've stirred up. That's right, it was J & J who set up the alternative account "Bahumut" to try and get something done about all the disinterested cachers out there who hide caches with no real interest in mainta...

Please excuse my ignorance, geocaching does not occupy the attention it once did from us.

Did the sponsorship thing take off? or is it still in the pipeline?
Thanks in advance for keeping us up-to-date.

Pay Pal enables me to cash-out real virtual monies earned in Second Life into real world funds in my bank account. Pay Pal is a very versatile tool indeed!

60km or so of sea between us and our nearest unfound  Plus a general decline in our interest in the hobby of geocaching :?

I use GPS Babel to convert .plt files to .kmz files. It isn't very intuitive, but does a good job once you enter the right info. Someone (not sure who  ) on these forums put me on to it, and it produces good results. Hope this helps.

Excessive use of acronyms in online logs get under my skin, especially when I don't understand half of them! And yes, thanking the cache owner by name is a good way of showing your appreciation. Personally, I don't have a problem with people not writing an online log, it's about the journey after all.

four-fun is adopting our Adelaide Hills caches as we will no longer be able to maintain them. He has already taken on our three GC.com listings, and is prepared to take on Sub Zero (GA0484). These days we don't even take the GPSr on visits to Adelaide, so almost certainly will not be providing maint...

Are GCA caches adoptable???

I've just had a look through the Wiki, then tried searching this forum, but couldn't find anything on adopting out a GCA cache. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

You know, what if we had a GPSR section - that might have it's uses... I think that is a great idea. Cachers new to caching have questions regarding what GPS to buy, or Choice of PDA and also what software is better to do the job of paperless caching etc. There already is a section for this. Hardwa...

We are using 100mm stormwater fittings these days, although the screw top lids can be hard to undo.
