My Family will be attending.
That is 4 people. 2 Adults and 6yo and 12yo daughters. We will be booking a powered site when that part of the process is ready.
It was great to meet farmers5 at Dunolly in Victoria during the pre-easter event.

Re: What model GPS should we upgrade to?

Joffa1970 has a Garmin Oregon 550 that was an upgrade from the Garmin etrex Legend HCx. Mine is attached to the handlebar of the MTB most of the time (my main caching mobile). I would by another Oregon 550 if it broke. you could do without the camera, so the 300 to the 450 would be OK. The menu syst...

Re: Launching Australia's "OZ MEGA ADVENTURE"

Well every one may voice their opinion....... but as for "cached" I wish to differ. I'm sure there will be plenty of caches to be had and as for the $95.00, well it is too cheep when you consider all that is involved!! Yes having to pull up stumps after two days may be a problem for some but I'm su...

Re: Guess where the next Aussie Mega will be - Expires Thursday

I might as well put in a my 2 cents. (each guess is worth 1 cent)

1 : Bathurst

2: Deniliquin

Both a are able to cater for a large influx of tourists.

I am a victorian, but the proximity to Wagga Wagga puts me into NSW.

Re: Is there a mobile site?

You can log GC caches on GC.com
But you cant log GCA caches. It would be great for movable caches like the current Gnomes. Logging as soon as you find it.
Some of us only have basic mobiles not 'iAndriod things'.

Re: GCA Maps

Viewing them in Google Earth this morning, keep them I say. The trig points are hard to see (maybe a trace of white around the black trig logo)
or a white Australia background. (That didn't come out right). Maybe not a good idea.
They look good. My vote '1' to keep them

Re: Open OSM Images in Mapsource

I also have the Oregon 550. I used the http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php version until just now. I tried the .img download from osm australia website, and yep. it is quicker and up to date. (roads and bike paths I added only a few weeks ago are there.) (I am a contributor to OSM) Extra roads an...
