Re: EcoCaches

Agreed with Zal and roger. Beyond the release of unintended species, some cachers may not be aware of ongoing bush regeneration/rehabilitation works and the over arching plans that may already be in place. Could you run with the original idea but have it in its own pot, keeping it self contained?

Re: Locationless Caches

I'm feeling the same way Goldenwattle. I used to be a massive advocate for locationless, and in principal, I still like the idea of them, but sifting through the ginormous list tough. I also run out of steam when it comes time to log them - a little easier when using Geocube, but it still requires t...

Re: Senate - Calls for nominations 2018 / 2019

I too, am happy for another spin in a Senate seat. During my time working with the team (Senator since 2016) I've been involved with the promotion of the Summer Scavenger Series of 2016/2017 (remember Seeka?) and have helped with social media in the past. I've chipped away at a few wiki updates and ...

I've created a wiki page for GeosportZ 2018 and you can find the link to the downloadable and print friendly challenge list on there:

I'm still a user of both, so I'm not dissing the old ways, just saying other services are probably more useful now. We'd never have a problem finding you on Insta n0w0rries :D

Re: Feature Request : Instagram Link.

And have it linked too? I like it!

Actually, the contact list seems a little dated now too... ICQ, it's so 90s . Could this default list be updated to include more current contact methods? #findaPAF

Re: Geocaching Australia event on the GeoGearHeads podcast

My question remains? How many Australians do you think listen to them. But the same could be said for No_Tomorrow's videos, or SMS's Periscopes - the audience is niche but at least they're all listening/watching/participating for the right reasons. Then, how many of those Australians don't already ...

Re: Geocaching Australia event on the GeoGearHeads podcast

If not for our reputation or getting new members, then to show others they can do something like this autonomous from the greedy giant. They're a popular and well known podcast in other geocaching communities, and even if they and their audiences may see GCA as a novelty or curiosity, I agree with ...

As I'm keeping the seat warm for someone from the NT, I'm happy to continue on if no other NT folk step up.

Re: Geocube - iOS app with native GCA support

Had a tech support visit and it looks like I needed to update the config file. With that done, all caches now show up on the map. Happily, I have now logged my first two virtuals via the app, photos and all!
