If you're using the Transparent Contours set, you won't need to load the Full Topo. Use the "topo without contours" set instead. This saves memory as the contours not loaded twice (and allows you to load more maps!). If you're not using any mapsets besides shonkymaps then just load the "full topo" s...

Garmin GPS60Csx + CityNavigator maps. All up around $1000 or perhaps a touch more. Trying to use a single unit for both vehicle navigation and outdoor activities will result in a compromise. The 60Csx is great for fishing and outdoor activities, but when used in vehicle navigation mode it doesn't gi...

The roads are based purely on GA data. So when they run next to a railway line you'll find they've been offset. This is done intentionally by GA so that the printed maps come out with the shapes on the correct side of each other. There is a tiny amount of additional (non GA) data included with the m...

No, and no... sorry!
If you need routeable maps you'll need to buy a commercial product such as CityNavigator. See Alex at Cartographics, he should be able to help.

You'll find the shonkymaps don't have a lot of detail in the build up areas - they're much more useful out bush.
