Only problem I have had with a laptop in and out of the US is Qantas wanting to check if it was a Dell or Apple that I had the appropriate battery replacement done before I used it on the plane. Otherwise it was just needed to be scanned separately like anywhere in Oz.

You can't add waypoints etc

I did actually manage to import geocaches into the Brisbane UBD version. Its a bit fiddly with the conversion to AGD66 grid coordinates. I posted the process here a few months back http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=211

Working well for me. A few niggles in quote handling on the cache names and distance&bearing not being populated.
