Re: TRLT (The Road Less Travelled) Series???

I have just completed this very nice trail.

Definitely takes 2 good long days to do it.

Might even be better to spread it out over 3 days like we did.

Re: Link to create PQ Query from cache

You can do that on GSAK now - using the GC API / Get Geocaches - it centres on a cache you select !!
It's like generating a PQ from within your database without having to do all the PQ criteria !!
Just a pity you can't do it with GCA caches as well........

Re: BIG Little Geocaching Event

Great idea, really interested, hope there is enough caravan park sites nearby that do allow pets to get more cachers to attend! Also, I don't think that you need 2 nights of live entertainment to attract a crowd. The Boat adventure will do that. Most people are happy with just 1 night of music...

Roostaman.
And I hope you can arrange some 'special' deals from the RV & campervan Hire Coy's too - that would help a lot ! ! ! !

Re: NZ MEGA 2012 - an update

Good stuff, we would love a return trip to the Long White Cloud, and this would be the perfect excuse. That should be very different & we can't wait, as we had to dash through Dunedin last time and didn't spend enough time there. Only hope that a lot of Aussies can afford to go to 2 Mega's in 1 year...

Re: Potential NZ MEGA Event 2012 - is there sufficient interest?

A suggestion; How about a MEGA-Multi that has waypoints all around the South Island. Queenstown, Dunedin, Nelson, Te Anau, Hamner Springs, Arthurs Pass etc, etc. That should inspire a lap around the island. bshwckr That would be tricky as you would have 300+ vehicles all travelling around the count...

Re: Potential NZ MEGA Event 2012 - is there sufficient interest?

I know most of the Wagga Wagga cachers do not visit the forum very much & neither do I lately, however I can add some comments on behalf of the "Riverina Geocaching Inc" committee. We all formally agreed at our most recent AGM that we would not be organising another Mega event for a long long time, ...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

I would be seriously interested in that option. We loved our month in NZ last year & would highly reccommend it to anyone else interested in going. Best to start a new thread on this forum as well, and the interest may start to rise. That would be a great time of year to visit your fair country. Hop...

Re: Logs from Oz Mega Cachers

Just wondering how the Wagga locals inbox's are surviving? Are they in meltdown? What is sort of numbers of logs that are coming in? Well Big Matt, after just a few days for 2/3 of the visitors logs to be done, I can now report that I have just over 2,000 unread logs in my 'inbox/logs' folder & it'...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

Has anyone thought to prepare an electronic map of the area that can be used in OziExplorer? Ian, Ozi maps exist for this area & I have had them for years, some Wagga topo & UBD maps for the PDA & the laptop. However, since using a TomTom, Garmin Map60 & Oregon 300, I have had no need for th...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

I only have a couple of Mystery caches & most are in a safe non-muggle area. My cache "M for Mystery" is in a high muggle area & may need to be temporarily offline during the 4 days of Easter. However, it should be OK for the days leading up to the weekend & after the weekend, if travellers who solv...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

....... Do you have to wait for 500 people to actually register to attend? Possibly, because the Mega status is up to Groundspeak to approve, and as it is the first 1 here in Oz, it will need more 'will attends' before it can be approved to be a Mega. :( But we only need 500 people - not 500 cachin...
