Re: Garmin Foretrex 401
If it is standard Garmin, then the track files are all contained within the current.gpx file. You can use Garmin Basecamp to extract them, but I find it much easier to just let Google Earth do it for you by itself. -With your GPSr turned off, connect it to your computer. - If it then turns itself on...

Well, I think we can safely say that the NT wins the wooden spoon for the angels. 100% of angels in the NT not yet moved

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Just curious about something on the GCA NT Cache update I receive daily. About 3 or 4 days a week the same cache keep on popping up in the Changed Caches field indicating that it has had a description change. The description did change once a while ago but that was all, not a few times every week (i...

Can you plot a database on GSAK onto a map?
Just in the late planning stages for a trip coming up soon to the USA and am wondering if a specific functionality exists on GSAK. There is a huge saturation of caches along the route we will be going (about 20,000 caches  ). I have made a number of pocket queries along the route we will be g...

We had squatters take over one of our caches providing an interesting attempt at retrieving the cache: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx ... 67533b579f

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
We have sort of been 'burnt' by people trying to be kind. There have been caches that have been placed in a nice area that have gone with a string of DNFs and the CO no longer active online. We have put a needs archiving on these. We thought great, we can do something really special here with a cach...

There is also an event in the evening on 5 Nov in Hobart as well (GC3YD6Y). We happen to be there from the other side of the country and will be visiting the event as well.

How can I view past logs of mine?
On GC.com I can look at a page with the logs of the last 15 or so caches I have had interaction with. Is there a similar type of function for this for GCA? The background behind this is that we found a Frog that was not actually dropped off in our area, it was still listed as being somewhere half a ...

Lets not let 'trivial' facts like that get in the way of a good storycrew 153 wrote:36% of the caches in NT are trig points.
