Re: Caching games this year?
The problem I see with actually enforcing a two day limit is that you might find some caches not moving too far from their origins. I agree that 2 days is a bit too short, and one week is too long... maybe a 4 day max limit? Should be enough time to get them reasonably far? And repairs would have t...

Re: Caching games this year?
Will there also be an enforced time limit rule? Meaning people have to re-hide within 2 days (or whatever the limit is) or it won't count? I would think we'd still want rules such as re-hide within 2 days, must be at least 2 other finds since you last found it and the finder must hide it (ie no pos...

Re: Favourite frogs
I would like to suggest "frogger" by makky brown. It's a different kind of frog and since it will not leave Tasmania I think I can describe it here. Basically it is a round siestema container with a green nintendo game boy with the game frogger on board. The challenge is to get a top score. Very cl...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open
Wow the Tas frog hunters are non-stop, since my late entry frog http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga3925 has made his way over there 5 days ago he's been moved 6 times! Go Happy Meal :frog :D The Hobart frog hunters are buzzing with activity. I wish the northerners could drum up that much enthusiasm. ...

Re: Moving Cache Race 2011 / 2012 - Theme Poll
There will be no entry fee. I'm still heading down the "every cacher gets a pathtag" and if you want more you can buy them from the shop. Race entrants will be given a substantial discount on the tags. Non-race entrants will pay full price. Thanks for not putting on an entry fee. I would like it if...

Re: The longest GCA power trail in Australia (idea)
Verse 5 doesn't seem very representative of Western Australia In what way is verse 5 not representative of WA? I regret that I have never been to this state and have no idea what any of these places are like. :( I went to a lot of effort to ensure a good spread of caches all over the whole state an...

Re: Need help importing overseas Opencaching cache
Yes, it gave this error:
Cache not imported (Invalid cache prefix): OX
I assumed it didn't work, but it looks like it's in my finds list anyway...?
Oh well, I'm happy it's there.

Need help importing overseas Opencaching cache
While on holiday in Scotland recently, my partner and I found our first Opencaching.com cache. (It's also cross-listed on GC, but I chose to log it on OC). The cache in question is this one: http://www.opencaching.com/#!geocache/OXG60Z I use GCA to keep track of my total finds count and other stats,...

Re: The longest GCA power trail in Australia (idea)
It crossed my mind that some mainlanders might consider the whole of Tassie to be a 'back road', but I wasn't going to be the one to say it. I would agree that the IBEM idea would be a series rather than a trail as such. Here's another verse for WA: I've been to Narrogin, Leeuwin, Corrigin, Ca...

Re: The longest GCA power trail in Australia (idea)
I am happy to volunteer to write extra verses for the states poorly represented in the IBEM song. (Which should be called "I've Cached Everywhere Man!") Here's one for Tassie: I've been to Ulverstone, Dulverton, Smithton, Burnie, Queenstown, George Town, Campbell Town, Swansea Lilydale, Scottsdale, ...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Something weird is going on with the logs on my gnome GA2951 . I am getting multiple repeated logs from the last few finders. I am getting emails of these logs at 4.20 am every morning. No new logs for awhile, just repeated ones. Could the admins please take a look and see if it is some GCA glitch a...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I would also like to thank caughtatwork very muchly for the eight pathtags that I will be receiving in the mail. One would have been fabulous, but to get one for every gnome I released (even the ones that didn't move) is amazingly generous and awesome. Yay!! I have had so much fun hiding a...
