Re: Maps for caching in Japan?
Thanks for all the advice so far. We leave Monday for just over 2 weeks. And to add more interest to the trip, we are running a meet and greet in Kyoto! So, far we have one attendee!

Re: Caching in India
I know this is an old thread but I thought it might be useful to note that we used Garmin City Navigator maps in the GPS and they worked really well. Also they were routable as well for finding POIs. YMMV

Re: Maps for caching in Japan?
Thanks allrounder. I had spotted that site but I was not sure if or how it would work. So, I did a test using downloaded ACT maps and got a good result. For others, this site provides a very simple explanation of the download process - https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/05/download-garmin-705800810.ht...

Maps for caching in Japan?
We are off to Japan soon and I have been struggling to find suitable maps. I have not found any Garmin maps? But I have found some that are for sale on ebay that are "garmin compatible".
Does anyone have suggestions for which maps I can load for the trip?

Re: Gnomes to the Moon
There are currently 14 gnomes already logged into the Gnomes and Cachers event today... We are expecting a big turnout of gnomes! See GC2M37C.
Will this be the biggest gathering of gnomes so far?

Re: GCA listings of caches in areas where geocaching is banned
I think there is a need work with DECC/NPWS in NSW to develop a policy that allows sensible caching. This has been done overseas in Canada where guidelines have been agreed. However, this will take time.... From a purist perspective I can see why there is opposition, but I think there are some benef...

Re: Moveable Cache Race
Sooooo much collusion on the mainland  Little Tassie doesn't stand a chance :( Maybe I might just have to take some time off over Christmas and book several flights interstate and eliminate a few   Red Tag, maybe it's time for another visit to the ACT where you can join the fu...

Re: Moveable Cache Race
Crystal warrior and I have prepared our moveable cache and it's ready to go. While we are happy to win any of the prizes, we'd particularly like to win the most moves for this one. It lends itself to short, quick hops!
