The Bronze on ABC radio

This page has a real player link to an interview the Bronze gave on Friday.

What on earth is Geocaching?

Friday, 10 June 2005

Presenter: Andrew Dunkley
This is all you need to go Geocaching...a GPS devise to tell you where to go

Well...we think it's a sport, or at the very least a hobby.

It involves the planting of an item in a specific location...known as a cache.

The localtion is published on the internet and people have to find it using GPS technology.

It's really just a huge game of hide and seek.

Once you find the cache you fill in the log book to say you were there and swap trinkets.

There are over 1300 geocaching teams in Australia and it's played in over 200 countries.

Dubbo will be hosting a huge geocaching event this weekend with twenty teams taking part.

The trick, I'm told it to find a picturesque location so that geocashing players get something extra from the experience.

Just home from the event. Tired but thrilled. All positive comments.

You can feel free to disagree but I (like many others don't like the sound of their own voices) doubt I will listen to it. Glad they saved it though. Stick it in the media file link when we get one.

After 10 minutes of trying to download the free realplayer I remember well why I uninstalled the useless piece of bloatware.

Good interview. Nicely done Bronze.
Wasn't it 2000 that Selective Availability was switched off though?

Good one Bronze!
Love the "Geeks with tan lines" T-Shirt quote - why didn't that one win?

I can't believe it's been five years - Wow. Feels less than that.

I haven't heard the interview myself - When I got to the credit card details bit I stopped. Realplayer is not for me if I have to give over card details. I can listen to my self anytime.

There's a free RealPlayer if you keep digging and declining to pay for it, but they don't make it easy to find!

Anyway, in the spirit of open source, here's the interview in royalty-free ogg vorbis format.
(Most players can handle it, including Windows Media Player, if you insist to them that they can!)

I will have a listen tomorrow at work. So Bronze, did you offer them a nice cuppa

Was it just an over the phone interview like mine or did they get you into the studio?
