GeoArt Competition
Noticed this new icon on the Geocaching Australia header this morning. No information as yet. Looking forward to details as it looks like a fun summer.

Re: GeoArt Competition
Thanks caughtatwork.
This is all I get when I click on it.
Competition Qualifiers
Geocacher
Public Tag
Number of Qualifying Caches
Should there be anything else?

Re: GeoArt Competition
Yes there should be more and there now is. Normally we don't provide competition information before the competition start. In this case we are showing the information. I forgot to do it properly
You should now see some other information.

Re: GeoArt Competition
Is there a maximum distance from the associated traditional caches you can place the art? Does the art have to be in the same state or nearby?
Also, in the wiki under "Maps" it says
"A GeoArt geocacher will appear on your map in two locations."
Would be cool the geoart creators could appear on my map in two locations, but I think it should say geocache without the r.

Re: GeoArt Competition
No there is no distance restriction. I think I would prefer any art I'm looking for to be near where the geocaches are, but that's your choice. You can stick the art in the middle of pacific if you want but then it will probably never be seen. Also consider whether the "distance" you are choosing means that you are taking up space for someone elses art work that might be closer.
