Woot! I made the ladder
On the last day and my first chance to get out and find some GCA caches, I managed 11 and all of them are claimable. Didn't really help my state out of 7th place, but I gave it a try.

Re: Woot! I made the ladder
I left it until tonight to do most of my claims, so I could work out the best way to maximise the points, one advantage of scavenges not expiring as in recent games. That's kept me busy the last couple of hours! In the end bumped it up to 48 claims for 817.5 points. Won't help NSW get out of third, but I am ahead of the pack on averages.

Likewise I left most of my claims till tonight, managed to get in the top 10 for Tassie with 929 points, I have had great fun during these games more so than before.
I dont know about other states but these game got some old cachers caching again in Tassie.

Yes I agree, was a lot of fun. I logged my last scavenge at 11.53 pm and I had been keeping up as I logged scavenges as I went! As well as old cachers logging GCA again, there were a few new recruits as well here in Tasmania. Thanks to the organisers for all the behind the scenes work.stainless-steel-rat wrote:Likewise I left most of my claims till tonight, managed to get in the top 10 for Tassie with 929 points, I have had great fun during these games more so than before.

I believe that means SA has won, even though the highest contributor only got 235.75 points. I'm surprised there are less members in SA than the ACT and Tasmania. So, it appears they could have won if only one geocacher from SA had scored 600. I bet most didn't see that coming :0
