Will signed notes be provided? Something I can hand to the boss to explain why I need several days off work to geocache. :D

Of course ... not :-)
Remember you do not need to claim on the day or even find on the day. You can build a bank of hides or finds early and space them out or if you run behind, regain your ground next weekend. The only restriction is your logs must be made before the game completes at midnight AEST on the 25th of July.

Can you please clarify the difference between a dragonzone cache and any cache published on GCA.
The first gift box days dragonzone cache. I never know what the difference is.

Please check the claims page. http://geocaching.com.au/dragonzone/gam ... ly/claims/
At the bottom it lists which caches are applicable to this game and their values.

Sorry, I'm confused... as usual:
Then what do the following 2 rules mean?

-A find claim for a gift box must have a matching 'Found it' log for the same claim date.

-A hide claim for a gift box must have a matching 'Published' log for the same claim date.

Those have now been removed as they were never being enforced.

A new requirement has been put in place to restrict finding your own geocaches unless they are a moveable geocache. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for clarifying a few of the rules. The games (and the fun) have begun. I like how the gift boxes just open to view each day. Very clever.

I am checking points I allocated on GA10083 and now see it is an unknown dragon zone. Does this mean it was a waste of time allocating the points as it is unknown and if I want to claim at some stage in the Christmas games, the cache wouldnot be valid?

The geocache is a valid dragonZone geocache, regardless of whether it is a known zone or not, so you can play this geocache in the Christmas in July game.

As far as points, yeah, kind of wasted unless that zone boundary changes.

Thanks for the reply. Why isn't it in a zone? The cache is 10 - 15 mins from Hobart CBD?

Our zones are created by the Local Government Area designations. It looks like this geocache sits on the side of the road which is not controlled by the local government but possibly by a road authority. Hence it does not fall into a zone.
