2nd Geocaching Australia Newsletter - Call for Submissions

Post by EcoTeam » 24 January 04 11:23 am

Ok, I'll finally get around to finishing the 2nd Geocaching Australia newsletter if I can get more submissions!

If you haven't seen Issue #1, then take a look here:
http://geocaching.com.au/newsletter/

If you want your name and photo up in lights, then send in your team profile, based on the Issue 1 format.

If you have any caching stories, funny photos, event reports, news of whats happening in your state etc, please send them in.

Perhaps you think you've found the ultimate caching container? - send in a product review!

Send all sumissions to davidATalternatezoneDOTcom (do the anti-spam thing)

Thanks
EcoDave :)

Bugger! I just hid my Ultimate Caching container. Cheap, sealable and indestrictable - Will provide a product review for all to read. Unless you want to Mix76.

Quite a few people should have PM's and Email's from me in there boxes.

I hope to write mine up this afternoon and get them in Dave. Stay tuned.

Bronze.

At bit late but - CONGRATULATIONS :D on the 1st mag.

We finally managed to download a copy of the first mag today, only been trying since last August - it never wanted to work before. Anyway it's been worth the effort - it's absolutely awesome!!! Nearly as good as our old WA version, ha ha. OK it might even be a smidge better.

We would love to put something together for the mag from our neck of the woods!!! When is the close off date?

Keep up the fantastic work - your effort is much appreciated.

Thanks.
No set closing date for the second edition, when I get enough material I'll release it. Any material that comes in late will go into the 3rd edition.

Is there anything I can offer in relationship to approvals?

Maybe some guidelines on what to do, what not to do etc?
A lot of stuff could probably be cut and pasted from the forums here as it's been discussed often.

Thanks

How about a reprint of Leek's "Guide to young cachers" from a nearby thread?

The mag might reach a few folks who aren't avid forumers, and I think it deserves the unephemerability of this publication.

I'd like to see a 'behind the scenes' look at the approval process. What resources you use, how you check terrain, etc.

You can use my next one if you like, it goes out this weekend. I will write a story on this cache for the mag too as the loc. is very cool IMO.

Bronze - yes you can show off the cache it was a good find in a newcastle shop, and for so few $$$ too.
