Stashnotes

Post by Map Monkey » 31 March 05 12:14 pm

Hi,

Does anyone have any good "stashnotes" they wouldn't mind sharing with me/us for ideas. I was thinking of adding some further details eg GA reference....Is this acceptable, and if so, has anyone done a tasteful one to use

BTW what is the slang name for these suckers

Thanks

Agsmky

hi ian-and-penny,

I would rather people place it on their website or alternatively upload as an image to a cache  I'm sure others may want to get an idea also so i would not prefer to just sending it to me...unless it is "that" good

If you want to just send it to me  PM me and i'll give you further details 8)

I collected the links to various drafts of cache and swaggie notes and put them here.

Thanks to the Team LC format, I have decided to produce some more relevant stashnotes for my caches

I would appreciate some constructive feedback on my ideas as to the layout (essentially it is Team LCs with additional info).

It looks swell, but should you include your email address in the bit where you say contact me if its' a problem?

Thanks cached,

I thought about that and finally decided against it in my case.....I figured the link to log a find should be adequate

My caches are generally located on Council land and should have no problem with their location. However IF there ever was a problem i would rather not have my email address on the stashnote as it is a genuine email address (read:: not hotmail etc) which contains my full name (i don't want to monitor other email addresses with their associated problems  ) Besides, my position in relation to the local Councils and National Parks and that of my wifes occupation dictates that we must be careful with negative media that could be generated (unintentionally and incorrectly publicised) from geocaching :? I realise that this is cryptic, however we have reasons which, whilst strange, require us to have some anonymity in the community when geocaching.....Nothing against Geocaching per se

so why not create a hotmail/yahoo account simply for caching related things?

:) Then no one knows...and it will all remain Secret Squirrel :)

or I believe bigfoot will send the stuff through to you without you ever having to check it separately.

Gmail will do the same, forward email to your "regular" email account without you ever having to separately log into gmail. Give a yell if you want a gmail invite agsmky :)

or you could use this email forwarding server Sneakemail It allows you create unlimited number of email address. You can add an unlimited number of filter to each address. And if you reply to an email it gets sent back to sneakemail and they take out your details (eg email address, isp server, name) and send it on like it came from they server. excellent site
