Just wondering - how many Australian geocachers have paid for Premium Membership. I would love to know what you think about it

I find the ability to generate a .LOC/.GPX file on a flexible set of parameters and have it emailed to me useful. I have "All in NSW", "All in NZ", "New in the last week" and "Found in the last week" set up. (You can see the format on http://geocachers.net.nz)
Mainly, though, it was my Protestant work ethic, that felt uncomfortable getting so much fun without contributing something to the resource that makes it possible.

I just got Premimum membership and have no complaints.
I can now have every cache in the state on my Psion 5 palmtop, complete with descriptions. No more wasting time printing out cache sheets, don't need them, and it's obviously good for the environment too.
The GPX files allow me to still use CacheMonkey, GeoMap and OziExplorer without fear of the GC.com site doing something to screw up CacheMonkey.
It's also kinda nice to know I have given something back to GC.com

You would think they'd have the background colour configurableriblit wrote:Sometimes the pocket query text is close to useless.
The pocket query background is white, so far I haven't found a way to change that. The latest Red Dwarf cache has white writing on a black background. On the pocket query white on white is a touch hard on the eyes.

I signed up for membership about a week ago - thought it would be a good idea while the Aus $ is doing well. Cost was approx $45 for a 1 year subscription. Love the custom queries - it has saved me a lot of research time for my upcoming holiday to Europe!
For example, I can pick a cache in London, and get the filter to create a list of caches within a particular distance from that point. Unfortunately, you can only have 5 of these filters at any one time, so I'm going to have to get creative to get everything I want before I leave!
