Darrren Osbourne Cadetship

Post by GammaPiSigma » 28 September 17 11:06 am

Saw this article this morning and thought some people on here may find it interesting.

ABC to launch science cadetship in honour of Darren Osborne: http://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2017 ... ne/8975104

EDIT: URL BBCode not working for me for some reason.

EDIT 2: Now the link seems to be working.

Such a great thing.
I'm so pleased this has been set up, it's such a fitting way to remember someone who has done so much in his various fileds.

Wonderful - he was such a fantastic person, a very suitable way for him to be honoured.

Thanks for sharing this article.

What a great legacy: helping new voices communicate science with some of the flair and passion that Darren brought to it.

I was at work when I first spotted the article, and had to take a break from work stuff for half an hour or so as I got quite emotional having known Darren so well. The article certainly sums up his passion for the things he did, and the obviously high esteem his work colleagues held him in - apart from how those of use who knew him through caching felt.

I saw the article this morning too. A lovely tribute for Spindoc Bob.
