DIY PVC Cryptex (in Metric)

Post by auzzy_mate » 19 December 16 10:49 pm

Gday fellow geocachers, I hope this post finds you well and this is just a quick post to show you all what I have been working on lately.

Basically, I have build a Cryptex out of PVC and DWV pipe I scavenged from here in Australia (Wollongong actually) and made a video & workbook you can follow to build your own.

The history is I have 'okay' craft skills owing to having young kids at home, and similar computing skills through work so what better way than combining the two to answer a challenge I was set to make my GC hides more original and entertaining.

So, the end result is a nice little cache container (actually its 140mm long and 42mm wide inside so not so little), a 10min step by step video and an A3 schematic booklet (12 pages) that contains each step to build your own.

To those who have been asking for a cryptex in metric, enjoy. :)

Nice.

I've seen hundreds of these videos and still haven't been able to make one myself :-)

Maybe this one will help me!
