Emails
How do I stop getting a bevy of emails every time a moveable cache is moved?
I've got publication notification set which is fine, just don't need all the other emails ... as I pretty much check daily via the GCA app anyway

Re: Emails
Which emails?
Watched?
Owned?
http://geocaching.com.au/my/settings/ and then see if you want individual one summary emails.
If it's a different email, let us know which email it is.

Re: Emails
Yes that's the one, just changed them both to summary emails.
Thanks.

Re: Emails
Hmm, I changed both these settings to 'Summary Log' and 'Summary Watchlist' ... I'm still getting individual emails for seemingly every gnome moved, plus a summary email at the end of the day (9pm Perth time).
Does the system take a while to catch up, or is there something else I need to do to stop the emails about each individual move?

Perhaps try http://geocaching.com.au/my/alert/ which is where my ones are set.

Re: Emails
I have this set for publications within 100km ... I get these email, but all the moves also. Does a move equate to a publication within GCA?

Re: Emails
Bad headache caused me to see 'retract' as 'move'.
Edited original post to correct information in it.

Re: Emails
Start again. My 'moves' are headed 'GCA Alert: Moved' so assumed it was from the alert area. I don't know of any other area besides 'settings' and 'alerts' that would give emails.
From the wiki/help
GCA Alerts are generated in 5 minute intervals after the published, moved / found on moveable caches or a retracted log is saved. This means your alert will not be instantaneous, but is very likely to occur in the normal polling time of your email program, which is generally set to every 10 minutes or so.

Re: Emails
Hmmm, well I've just turned off alerts (publication) for moveables ... bit of trial and error, see if it works

Re: Emails
Yes, a move is the same as a publish for a moveable cache. This was requested a long time ago so people could see new ones as they were moved into their area.
