Missing caches !!

Post by If » 14 July 14 11:37 pm

Is anyone else finding that some GCA caches and trigpoint listings are missing from their downloads of South Australian zip files ?
I have missed several finds and also wasted me time posting trig point listings, only to find that when I search for nearby GCA caches, I find that the trigpoint listings exist already, or I have missed a GCA cache

Damn annoying :-k

I just downloaded the GPX file for SA from this page http://geocaching.com.au/caches/gca/au/sa/
There are 1,144 caches (874 TrigPoints and 270 non-TrigPoints).
I then ran a query against the database for all live, available (i.e. not archived) caches for SA and I got 1,144.
i.e. The two counts match.
Do you have an example of one that may have been missing?
Are you getting these from that page or are you using a MyQuery? If a query, what's the query and I'll check that.

Ah !! I found the problemo .... I was trying to cram too many waypoints into my GPS
Seems I didn't delete the old waypoints before sending the updated list !!
I downloaded the SA file again and all is well :D

Sorry !! :gnomette :gnome :gnomette
