Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
If we didn't have a large stretch of expensive water between us and the Gnomelands we would certainly be visiting in May. We will watch the adventures of those who head to Gnomelands with interest.

We second 2y'stassie's comment. We were in the area in March last year and would love to visit again however that bit of water is a problem!

Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
Can anyone advise if all the moveables have now been moved as of May 1st? Zal?
Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
Magnificent effort by Zalgariath on the first day of the challenge, not sure yet how many, if any, are left!
By the way Tuena did manage to snag a few as well.
Congratulations guys.

Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
I'll start logging tomorrow. As it is going to take me a while to rehide them all I'm going to temp move them all to my house and then find new homes for them around Sydney. I want to spread them out not turn them into a power trail!
I dont have a final count but there were about 60 taken, plus whatever Tuena got. So there sill should be 40 odd left there!

Bring some to the meeting on Monday if you don't get them out. Weather is looking crappy on the weekend for caching

That depends.... which Clan have you joined Rich? hahaha
Will brings some little ones.
My log is up for the event with some photos... I'll start moving the caches to St Leonard's today as I log them. Dont go looking for them there, they will be getting some TLC and the removed back into the wilderness.

Estimating that some 60 plus gnomes and fellow-travellers are still at 'The Gnomelands' at Mt. Piddington!
Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
Even after the maxi raid by Zalgariath and Tuena there are still 59 moveables waiting to be taken away! Minus a few that have gone AWOL, that will be checked when the dust settles down a bit.

Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
The Great Escape is Complete! I have moved every cache I got to St Leonard's for some TLC before redistribution (which will start today!). In the end I got 69 movables. A few will need be archived but the rest are pretty good.
By my count there are still about 50 moveables on the map in the Gnomelands, however I DNF'd a few which may no longer be there from other cachers or muggles or wildlife.
Most are down near the Horne lookout or on the Ferris Cave track out towards the caves.
Thanks for the madness!

Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
So the caches are slowly making their way back into society. However as I dont just want to dump them all together or use 2 or 3 in a single hide it is a slow process. I'd hate to 'win' on the back of a single raid with no one else having the chance to play for the want of something to move... so I'd suggest to the powers that be perhaps a 1 month extension to the end of June may be order. That will give me more time to get them all out, and the other players more time to find them!
Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
Well there are still a lot of moveables to be had in the Gnomelands, but bot much interest in going for them!
So far only 2 intrepid cachers have made the effort (Zalgariath and Tuena) it seems apathy has struck the moveable community.
I think an extension is in order to perhaps convince more cachers to have a go to either find and take or bring and hide more moveables in the Gnomelands.
This challenge will now run until the end of the financial year, the 30th of June as suggested.

We are hoping to make it to Webby's event next weekend... so I might have to bring my Gnome-sack and sell some to the highest bidder!

So far only 2 intrepid cachers have made the pilgrimage to the Gnomelands. There are still 40 moveables there waiting for a pick up.
