No National Park anywhere near this place, this is council controlled land and I have met many dog walkers on the trails around there.Just a cacher wrote:Is any of that area National Park?
My question is about the geohound and prancing puppy.....

OK. Thank you for that information. I knew the dogs were allowed up a the parking area - we've been there before. I just wasn't sure about the walking tracks.
I suppose it's starting to cool down a bit up there?

Sorry, Roger, we really wanted to get there this weekend, but, given the weather, decided it was better to stay at home.

I tried earlier and had three DNFs. Yesterday I drove the circle but the snow was too heavy. Only three left I haven't found. Sorry Roger.
Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
The Great Gnomeland Challenge is now over and the overwhelming winner is:
Zalgariath with 28 points, congratulation on a mighty effort, job well done.
Congratulations are also in order for the other 2 participants:
Tuena with 7 points and
withemushroom with 3 points
Thank you very much guys for making the effort and taking the time to hunt these moveables.
Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
The Gnomelands is no more, sadly the brave experiment has come to an end the last residents were removed today for relocation closer to the Big Smoke in the near future.
It was fun while it lasted there was over 120 residents at one point, of course Zalgariath made a big dent in the population with his raid but Tuena and Whitemushroom captured a few as well.

Re: THE GREAT GNOMELANDS MOVEABLE CHALLENGE
I could have done with less walking required - I am not fit.
Also, your great idea might have had more success in warmer weather.
Perhaps you could try it again about now, or in the Autumn?
I DID like the idea. Still do.

Thanks Wendy, it was an experiment and it got me out of the house!
At this stage I am thinking about a new one but not until next year after the next moveable cache game (if there is one). If I do I might get you to bring a few dozen ACT moveables in!
