The R in the six maps legend says "Restricted Access".

What can you see in a photo of the area? At street level obviously. If there's something identifiable as a TP, then create. If it's just the top of the tower, then probably not.

I will have a look with nearmaps, but I can also probably get on the roof of the building next door where we have a base station and look down on it as well 8)

Spent the day in Goulburn yesterday and went to investigate TS2244GOLDSMITH (corner of Goldsmith and Faithful Streets) as it's not listed as a TS on GCA but appears on SIX Maps. When I arrived at that spot there was only PM8838 there (expected) and definitely no trig station. The legend codes it as being an approximate location and I took a look around the nearby buildings to see if there was anything up high but there was nothing. How approximate is their approximate? Or does the PM double as the TS too?

Yesterday I discovered the coolest thing on SIX maps when looking for unlisted trigs (which I did find). Check out the satellite/NSW imagery basemap at -33.439371 149.557833. Time trials?

it's cool the way the cars are going so fast they aren't in focus properly

That is very cool. It seems quite deliberate that they picked that bit of image to include. Have a look at the full vs empty carpark.

Yeah, I noticed the cars getting longer as they travel up the mountain straight. And then there are the gazebo and tent cities in people's front yards, and what looks like a yellow Ford GT.

I'm feeling "Griffin's Mount" with its Panorama Trig is trying to say something to me. ;) I'll be there for a wedding in a month. :griffin

I added a trig point that was recently listed with sixmaps as it is new, and the GCA listing I created for it has gone missing. Did I do something wrong with it?

We need more information. Like a name or a code or location. Something to help look at where it may be.

Found it. Looked up in my browser history to find the code and discovered the coordinates had changed. Any idea how they changed? I checked it out after creating it and it was working then. Fixed coordinates again. I hope I did it right this time. TP7268

The only change against that cache is your update a few minutes ago changing the lat and lon.

Geoff, you asked if there is a Victorian version of the NSW SIX site. I think I found it: http://maps.land.vic.gov.au/lassi/SmesUI.jsp
