Just as OSM is damaged, google bring out their own take on the user contributed maps.

Do contributors then get the right to use the data they submit as they see fit?
I kind of feel a bit conflicted about doing work for a multi billion dollar company for maps that I cannot legally use outside of their API, especially if they on-charge the use of these maps as they now do for big users..................... but on the other hand, I like my maps to be accurate!

Accurate is good, but working offline is also important.

@Craigrat I tend to agree but, being the consumer I would like maps that are accurate, regardless of who makes themUnless it's apple of course. I love OSM but with the recent removal of some data this annoys me.
