Geosportz - 4x4 relay and wrestling match ...

Have opened a new topic in the interest of not continuing to take the Geosportz questions and clarifications topic off topic so to speak

Anyway I have found 2 caches worth 6 points each in a similar area that could be used for the 4x4 relay and wrestling match that none of pwags, LouiseAnn, Quiet1_au or GJMMelb have found

They are
GC2XNQR A view to 3000 from 3088 - 6 points - 4x4 relay

GC32K63 Doreen Rogan - 6 points (about 6km as the crow flies but a fair bit further by road) - wrestling match

If cachers aren't too worried about an extra 3 points then GC23HGD Mariposa Estate for 9 points for the wrestling match is only 1 km from the above "A view... "

Time - Afternoon - time to be suggested/confirmed.

Both sound ideal to me. Maybe if we start by agreeing on a suitable 4x4 cache, then those of us with needs for different points can pair up after the 4x4 for different wrestling caches? Any objections to setting GC2XNQR as our meeting point and 4x4 cache?

Sunday afternoon is good for me, any time. The weather is supposedly going to clear up in the afternoon, too.

Another idea... once we've agreed a meeting point and time, how about we make it a mini-event on GCA? The event won't count towards Geosportz, but it will somewhat formalize the meeting, and may attract others who are interested, albeit last minute.

Re the Event, I did think of it but thought it cant be used for the points as it would be published after 1 July so didnt bother ...

BUT I didnt think about it notifying other potential interested parties, so yes I think that's a great idea too..

LouiseAnn is out caching today but she has PM'd her mobile number to Quiet1_au so once he sees this he could sms her and ask her. I used to have Q's number but lost it when my old phone died

I will email him via GC and if he gets emails on his phone he will be able to contact her and then reply to this hopefully soonish ...

Ok, LouiseAnn indicated in the other thread that she's somewhat flexible, so let's lock in 2pm.

How about we meet at 2:00pm at the car park at the end of Diamond Hill Drive, and wander over to the cache when we are all there? I'll create a GCA event now, maybe to attract a few interested others.
