8 x Eneloop batteries $19.99

Post by covert » 12 September 11 11:17 am

If your GPS uses AA batteries and you don't already have some LSD's for it then this deal is a "must not miss out" for you.

$19.95 gets you 8 Eneloop batteries delivered. Best price on eBay is $28.

La Crosse. Here is seller on Amazon that ship to Australia at a decent price.

Thanks for this info.

Ordered the batteries & a LaC charger after reading several tech reviews.

Already sold out, but an excellent price.

I have had one of those chargers for about 4 years and they are excellent. I paid over twice what they are now sold for.

I was prompted to have a closer look at Amazon following the order I placed yesterday. Last week I purchased locally a pair of walking shoes "New balance 1520" & paid $219.

Amazon have them for $89 incl. shipping!! I wear walking shoes out in less than 12 months so placed an order.

Makes one wonder how retailing in Australia can justify such prices given they would be importing shoes etc by the container.

Thanks Covert.

We shop at eastbay (not ebay..) for our shoes. 2 pairs of shoes a pair of designer jeans and a few tops cost less than 1 pair of the same shoes here in Australia, leaving me with more money to spend in other areas of the Australian economy.

WOW  I think I am the other extrem. I bought my mountain boots in 1998. I had to refurbish them twice but that's it (It's 90 EUR but given that it is a 500 EUR pair and afterwards you got brand-new-worn-in-boots it's a good deal).

My pair twice removed had been resoled but gave way as I descended Mt Imlay near Eden last year. My watch is still going strong though after 40 odd years. Perhaps I should buy German shoes.

Deal is back on again - expires tomorrow. I tried to buy them yesterday but they were sold out. Today I was able to buy 2 packs.

Hmm, looks like they sold out again. Are they putting more up randomly I wonder. I bought them this afternoon around 4:30pm.

The Eneloops appear to be a NiMH battery, can I use my existing NiMH charger on these if I decide to buy them?

Then again, while I have used rechargeables for many years, now with a pack of 30 AA alkalines at Bunnings for $10, it seems just as easy to use those in the GPS. Maybe the Eneloops could be justified in the pocket digital camera though. Not that I would need 8.
