Monthly DNFs
Monthly DNFs
There is a stat as to how many finds everyone has had in a month, but is there a way to show how many DNFs I have had in a calendar month?
I have a strong suspicion that October 2010 saw me produce more DNFs than any other month on record!

August and June '06 weren't spectacular either....
BTW, your only in the minor leagues... (when you compare to this)

Ah excellent. A very DNF month. But not my worst!
At least it is offset by 70 finds

Hey Matt and/or Shell, do you have any particular cache in mind for the half millennium?

Re: Monthly DNFs
Hmm, not too sure I thought about a long walk, a la Along the Stoney Towers but that is so last year...
Probably some crappy micro on the side of the road that somebody comes along next and says it was the worlds easiest find!
Hopefully we can get the 4.5k finds before that milestone though...
I'm starting to understand how Freddo gets his DNF numbers though. There are three on this cache alone last month

Close, but not quite the worst, but equal worst (or best).Hoojar wrote:There is a stat as to how many finds everyone has had in a month, but is there a way to show how many DNFs I have had in a calendar month?

The exact kind of graph that I envisioned! Is there anything that you can't do!caughtatwork wrote:http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Hoojar/ ... s_by_month

What about a list of your unfound DNFs, that are still active. For the Drop down "Details" menu on My Cacher Page.caughtatwork wrote:Given enough time, probably not

I maintain an unfound DNF list in GSAK which I also publish on my profile page. I don't cross off archived caches; instead I ask the owner for a 'replacement' cache (another one of their hides that is similar or they would like me to do) and then go and find that.
However that doesn't help when your DNF moves from Adelaide to Sydney!!
I guess this would be possible to automate on GCA with a bit of computing - show a list of all active caches you've DNFd that do not have a subsequent find against them.
<edit>How did I know that c@w would code this up before I could finish replying to the post?</edit>
