The Aussie top 100 bucket list
Re: The Aussie top 100 bucket list
I ticked most of my 50% off when I did #5. But that was waaaaaaaay back as a bicentennial project in 1988 and well before gps and caches were linked into a game

World's Oldest Trig Station
I definitely think both rogerw3 and I would like to see something like that in our few remaining years!blossom* wrote:What about "world's oldest trig station"? How would that excite you?pjmpjm wrote: I'd leave a fair few of these things off my own personal 'do before dying' list and add others instead. Once you're over 60, seeing the world's oldest fish traps fails to excite!

You mean over 30,000 years old. Some of the best, oldest, artwork in the world.Pesky! wrote:.Although there are cave paintings and such from 4,000 years ago in NW AUS! .
And that isn't a bucket list, it is just a list of places to go in Oz.
Re: The Aussie top 100 bucket list
Well that is an interesting list. I have not retired yet and I have already done : 2,6,7,10,13,16,18,19,20,23,24,25,33,3841,44,49,55,57,66,67,71,72,80,83,85,87,89,91,95,97,98
Shortly I will be going with a group of my friends on a charter flight out to Lake Eyre and over it. (Cross off no 2) Also landing and travelling around for the weekend. Looking forward to it. One friend who is not going made a comment when told the price. "I can go to UK for that much" Our reply was yes you can and it will always be there but Lake Eyre in flood is an opportunity too good to miss and it might not happen again in our lifetime.
My snorkle with the whale sharks was another experience that I will never ever forget. It was an awe inspiring time. They are such wonderful creatures. Put that with a flight out to the Horizontal Waterfalls off Derby in one holiday and it was one that will stay with me for a long long time.
