American cacher from Philadelphia visiting Australia

Post by SA_ParrotHead » 01 December 05 1:30 pm

I recieved this e-mail can anyone help out this cacher.

Howdy,
I am an American Geocacher located in Philadelphia. I saw that you were organizing a Christmas party for geocachers that I can not attend, however, I am passing through Adelaide on 12/25/05 (Yes Christmas Day) via train and have a 3 hour layover.
I will be bringing me with about 2 dozen TB and 10 US Geocoins. I am interested in dropping a few TB/Geocoins off and trading a couple unactivated still in package 2005 US Geocoins for a couple of unactivated still in package Australian Geocoins.
I don't know if you are interested but maybe someone at your party would be.
I plan on doing some caching around Perth, Canberra, and Hobart and look forward to wearing summer wear in December/January (-20 degrees F, last year in Philadelphia).
If any takers please have them e-mail me back so we can meet up at the Adelaide train station.
Thank you,
Quick, someone ring the mint and get that production run of 2005 aussie geocoins ramped up. or, engrave some 50cent pieces?

Sounds very strange ;-)

Meet me at the train station at this time and we'll swap some TB's ;-)

"Be alert, but not alarmed"

Hopefully someone can help him out.

If it's morning I can probably make it, I assume it will be the Indian Pacific or something. Afternoon will be harder, Christmas parties at their grandparents. In the morning Fab will be sleeping after a night shift. Have emailed them to find out.

Indian Pacific

Yes, I will be traveling the indian pacific from sydney to perth. Caching 12/17 to 12/31 in Perth then flying and driving to Canberra to do some caching in Canberra/Sydney area. Before a short hop to Hobart for some more caching there. Not into city site-seeing, would rather look at sand in the bush so though I am a rookie at geocaching I am turning this into a caching holiday.

Any great caches out there in the Perth/Canberra/Sydney area that are a must see?
