TB from the UK in Oz

Post by Leoness » 11 January 05 10:46 am

G'day to you all "down under" :D

This is the first time I have visited your forums and I hope that you don't mind me asking a favour!

I have a TB (NYM 2004 #4) which is in a race. It is currently sitting in a cache just north of Melbourne called "A Stormy Hill" GCM3EZ.

I should be very grateful if there's anyone in that area reading these forums who could move it on, or better still, take it on a long journey overseas to help clock up the miles.

Thank you . :o
I dont think that will be a problem for the next cacher when visiting that one.

Couldnt move one or two of the couple of dozen Oz Bug racer TB's that are stuck in Old Blighty as a return favour could you

Hi Team Piggy

I would be very happy to return the favour and move on any Oz TBs in the UK.

Can you help me to locate them please - which caches are they in?

That reply as a "guest" was from me!

This forum is different from the ones I'm used to using.

Its because you are in the international section, the only way to avoid that would be to register.

Oh and TBD665 is in GCHCXD .

Hi Mix

That TB hotel is not far from where I live so hopefully I will be able to move your TB on soon. I will try to get it nearer to Heathrow Airport.

I'm in Adelaide, about 700km west of the cache. But work is almost certainly sending me over that way for early next week in which case I will drive over the weekend and do some camping along the way. Was planning on hitting Bendigo along the way so will make sure this is on the list, where is the Bugs destination and I will see if I can help it along if it hasn't already been grabbed?

Hi Richary

Many thanks for your help.

The bug has no specific destination - it just needs to travel as far as possible in a 12 month period ending June 2005. If you could take it back home to Adelaide with you, that would be a great help. Better still... if anyone is travelling overseas to Europe or the USA, that would be fantastic.

I've placed a "watch" on this one and if it comes any nearer to my home I'll pick it up and try to get it near an airport.

Hi Leoness,

We're currently in Melbourne, not far from Bendigo - and we're heading to the US this weekend. We'll try and grab your bug before we depart ... if all goes well, we should be able to release it in Washington state in a couple of weeks.

Cheers - Alison.

Hi Alison

That would be fantastic! I hope you are able to collect it before someone else does and take it to the States. Who knows, it may even make it all the way round the world and back to the UK.

Many thanks
:D
