Hi Hord,

I have a 60CS and love it :lol.

I find MGA good for rural areas even though the data is a couple of years old....for rural areas this doesn't matter one bit as they generally don't change/add roads, only potholes

GPS Screen captures (Ximage, g7toWin etc) are hard to produce over a large area......if you want a smaller area just say so

Ulverstone on Mapsource looks like this (slightly reduced quality and .gif image)

Note that when zooming in again, all road names are shown.....

Hi Hord,

The area around Post Macquarie seems adequate...though there may be yocals who may be able to help you better

BTW to throw a spanner in your spokes....CN5 also has coverage for Port MacQuarie and someone may be able to give you an idea of its coverage quality...

The MGA coverage for Port MacQuarie (city heart ?) when zoomed in more, seems strange as there must be lots of traffic islands, malls, divided traffic conditions etc. See this:

Image

Please be aware this information does not look as good on a GPSr as we are talking about a smaller screen and different screen orientation

BTW you can search for addresses (in a lot of cases with street numbers, though they may be out by 1 or 2 premises  ) for the Port Macquarie area though i'm not sure of the real extent of it......

Hi hord,

If you want to drop into see robtas in Ulverstone, he has metroguide up and running. Well, he owns a copy anyway. Making an assumption it's in use :P

Drop me a PM and we'll organise something. Better still, drop him one!

Taa very much for the offer cached! I am sure robtas is VERY grateful you are inviting strangers to his place!
robtas is my Dad, so I feel kinda free to take such liberties ! :P
