GPX loads as waypoints in EasyGPS

Post by hori2 » 17 March 14 10:24 am

Good morning

Hoping someone could help me with this. My dad is getting into geocaching and having trouble loading the .gpx from here into EasyGPS and then onto his Garmin Dakota 20. We go to download the GCA Caches as GPX and that saves fine. However when we open the file in EasyGPS to transfer to his GPS they are all listed as waypoints. So when we fires up the GPS nothing shows under geocaches. Is anyone familiar with this or able to point me in the right direction? Hope that makes sense, all new to this. Thank you.

Regards
Dustin

The file needs to be a 1.0.1 compatible file.
Check your settings at GCA http://geocaching.com.au/my/settings/ and if it's not 1.0.1, update it and try again. They should load as caches with 1.0.1

Why not just copy the GPX file directly into the Dakota /Garmin/GPX folder?

Thanks for that, I've checked the settings and asked him to copy direct to the Garmin. Hopefully does the trick. Thank you!
