When you plug the GPS into your computer, does your computer recognise it as a drive? If it does, there's a quick way to do it. If it doesn't, it can still be done, but takes longer.

Another way is to use GSAK

Toriaz asked, "When you plug the GPS into your computer, does your computer recognise it as a drive?"

My computer connects to my Garmin and I can access it. I'm not sure what you mean by 'drive'. Do you mean can I click on it via my computer? Yes, it's how I remove old files once the cache is found.

It is a database that can manage your PQ's, even downloading them directly, and then you can filter, sort and upload (as well as many more things that I haven't figured out yet :stabby ). You can also manage your finds PQ's in there as well. You can get it to try from http://gsak.net/.

There are also forums here and on the GSAK site that help as well.

 Did it. All I had to do was copy the Pocket Query file onto my Garmin and unzip it there. Then 'magic' heaps of files appeared.
It was so simple. If only the instructions of Geocaching had told me to do this in simple words, instead of an page of over complicated stuff I couldn't follow, there would have been no problem.
Thank you to those who replied.

Glad you got it sorted. As you discovered, if your computer recognises the GPS as a drive, you just unzip & copy into the GPX folder. If it didn't, I was going to suggest downloading GSAK. It works, but it does take a few steps more.
