Tom Tom driver

Post by tronador » 01 October 11 10:46 pm

This is a question to all you tech savvy cachers who know more about computers than me, My Tom Tom will not connect to my computer and I get this error message on further investigation:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

This only happened in the last week and was working fine before. Why has it malfunctioned and why won't windows recognise it. I am running Windows 7 OS. How do I repair this or get a new driver?????? Will reseting the GPS fix this????
Please help

I assume you have tried power-off and rebooting PC and checking USB cable, otherwise you could try emailing Tomtom support.

Hi. I had a similar episode recently, but without the driver error message.
Replaced the USB cable with a new one and the problems with connection to PC stopped.
:)

Thanks for the feedback.I reset the unity and this seems to have fixed the problem but not sure why it happened in the
first place.
